Clients with lots of baby hair? Wet?

I’d like to apply beads to damp hair, but I worry about clamping a bead onto damp hair. Has this ever caused a problem for anyone? Musty smell? It just seems risky to me to lock in moisture, but maybe it’s not the problem I’m imagining it might be?

IMO the elasticity that remains in damp hair would be my issue. It could cause to much tension once dried. If the baby hair is the concern could you use hairspray to grip the shorter pieces?

Fairly certain Mckenzie doesn’t recommend this method with damp hair! As Mandy said, the elasticity is a concern. Hairspray helps as well as the Velcro grips!

My friend who gets NBR told me that her stylist always does her beading on damp, almost wet hair. She told her that it was to control the babies. This is why I asked. Thank you. I will stick to my Velcro and hairspray. 😁

Yes use a mister spray bottle to dampen those pesky fly always! Just not a full application on completely damp hair👌🏼
