    Beads

Guys I'm having a horrible time with my front beads slipping. I tried the internal screw ones and they gave worse results than the silicon beads. I even go back and squeeze the beads again before putting the hair on. I ordered more from dr locks and going to give them a try. Any other advice would be helpful! Thanks!

So are your doctored locks beads slipping? Or were you using a different brand?

I started out the with doctored locks beads and noticed some slipping only on my front bead. Switched to the internal screw only on the front bead with no luck. I've got the doctored locks back in and going to try those again with the extra clamping before placing wefts and see if that fixes my problem.

    What’s the internal screw?

Also, does it happen on those with a minimum amount of wefts or those with more than four? Sometimes it can be a weight issue where you need to drop a weft or two so it’s not as heavy.

It's happened on people with 4+ wefts.

This has happened to me a couple of times and for me it’s usually a stitching issue. I have had to be extra diligent to make sure I have 3 stitches in front of the bead to lock the wefts in front and then right down the center of that bead.

I had this issue as well. I rewatched all the videos and do less wefts on the front bead and I haven’t had an issue since. I also take slightly deeper sections than I did in the beginning

I was having the same issue. Still am here and there. I have started using 2mm beads on the front and sides to see if that helps. I'll let you know if it does!

Those of you who are struggling with beads slipping, I want you to double check your stitching on those ends and make sure you’re not over stitching on the outside edge of the bead! There should be no over direction of the hair and there should only be two or three stitches on that outside of the bed. Over stitching and not lining up your wefts correctly will cause there to be tension and pull those beads down.

I have a friend who uses this type of pliers and the hair is absolutely 100% slip proof. I’m not sure about how healthy it is on the hair but you also have to use a bead opener to open the beads for tightenings

Because it crimps the bead it literally never moves but I haven’t used it myself yet so not sure if it’s healthy or damaging

I do not like the bead openers when it goes inside the bead it cuts the hair. Not my favorite
