    Tying off the knot

Does anyone else ever have issues when you’re tying off you’re not at the end of the row and your looping the string three times through the center of the loop and it ties a knot before you can actually pull it tight? I hope that makes sense! But basically there’s still slack in the string that could go tighter. I tried the cotton string and nylon and had it happen with both. It also happens when I’m starting the row and doing my first knot....I wish I had a finger in there to hold the knot down while I do the second knot. 😂

Have your client help you! I have my clients out their finger on the knot... They are always happy to help!

I only loop twice and repeat 3 times. I think that’s what Mackenzie did in the video but I could be wrong

Yes! Come twice through your loop and do that three or four times! And I know it freaks you guys out that it’s not going to hold but if you’re using a cotton thread and you are pulling really tight on those knots, it won’t come undone.

I know I’m not in the popular opinion on thread, but try Upholstery Thread by Coats & Clark on Amazon! Best I’ve EVER used. It’s glides through the hair without picking up any hair and knots tight and perfectly. IMHO 🤓

Ok I have tried that thread and I felt like the knots weren’t staying tight on my stitching. Is there a trick to it?
