    Thick hair

I’m completely new to extensions! I have a new client wanting more length her hair is a little past her shoulders and thick. Can anyone give me an approximate idea on how many wefts I might need? I don’t have hair stocked. Or any other tips for blending thick hair.

Do you have a pic of her current hair?

In my experience the thicker the hair the more extensions you need for blending purposes... especially if she wants it a lot longer... I would order 10 and maybe you could get away with 8 but...it’s hard to say without seeing her hair

The few clients I’ve done with super thick hair ended up coming back and taking them out because it was too heavy. It takes a lot of hair to blend or has for me. I haven’t done invisible bead on someone with thick hair but doing my daughters this week, and she has super thick hair the same length

This girl had another method (I can’t remember what it was) for 6 months and took them out bc they were so heavy 😞. I’m waiting for her to send me a picture. But that’s what I’m afraid of.

It doesn’t look that thick. It’s just blunt If she’s open I would soften the ends. (Texturize) I would plan for 10-11 wefts. Consider 3 rows I like the most amount of hair in the middle row. You got this

This girl had super thick hair and I ended up using twelve wefts to make it blend. It was when I was using jz styles method, but she made it three weeks and wanted them out

12 wefts and jz styles hair is so wide😬!! I’m scared to do it😞

Thank you. It’s a lot when they have thick hair.

I’d just be super clear with what maintenance with 3 rows is going to look like. Don’t hold anything back!😆

I agree with everyone! Mostly don’t recommend adding length on really thick hair because it would be like for sure 12 wefts and 3 rows and that is a lot of work!

I say plan on at least 12! I just did a client with super thick short hair and she has 10. I don’t think it’s enough! I can send you a pic

Yep I agree with thick hair you need more wefts and definitely 3 rows will help blend so much better!!

I was very clear with her and told her she would have to buy 2 packs of hair and probably pay for 3 rows. She decided it was more than she wanted to commit to financially. And honestly that was totally fine with me. You all are the best. Thank you so much for all of your help!!!!!! Especially for someone without much experience like me.
