    Only one weft underneath!

I have been needing to clarify this, and I just wanted to make sure that everyone understands that there should only be one weft underneath the beads. Depending on what brand of hair you use, you may need to start one from the right side and one from the left side and they will double up in the back. Some wefts like JZstyles are much wider and can fit all the way around the head, in which case you only need to use one weft underneath. But we don’t want to layer underneath the beads, Only on top! Love y’all!!🤘🏻

Omg this is great to know. If I have a row of 6 wefts total I’ve been putting 3 on top and 3 below! But that’s only happened maybe once or twice. Thank you!

So to clarify if one weft fits all the way across the bottom row and I’m doing 4 wefts on a row total then I’ll do one underneath the beads and 3 on top?

If someone has a big head, do you ever do 2 wefts underneath and have them overlap in the middle back? The top row is easy for one weft on the bottom but the 2nd row swoops a little lower....

Yes absolutely! Start one from each side of the head and they overlap in the back👌🏼

Really!??? I’ve been doing 2 wefts on the bottom on every client! I actually did 3 in bottom and 3 on top on a client!!! So 2 wefts is ok on the bottom of the beads if 1 weft doesn’t reach all the way from side to side right???

Two wefts on the bottom is just fine if you need to start one from each side and they’ll cross over in the back!

If you lay more than necessary underneath, you add add a tension and discomfort for the client. Plus it’s extremely hard to sew LOL! You want your goal to be only three wefts meeting on the ends and if you layer two underneath and two on top there will be four which will just add extra attention and bulk on those corners😬

Yess I always felt like I was struggling to catch the wefts underneath so this opens up a whole new world!!!

Today I did a client who had 5 wefts in each row. 2 wefts underneath and 3 on top. All of her wefts met Pretty Much perfectly At the ends of the first beads in each side...I did feel like it was kind of Bulky on the sides but how could I have fixed the issue?? Cut the wefts at the cut points? I have yet to cut any of the wefts. Do you more times than not Cut them to make them shorter?
