    Iles Formula?!

Hi! So I was just starting the process of ordering Iles Formula when I read the thread about C&M saying it wasn’t good for extensions. I contacted the company and actually heard back from Wendy Iles. She was not happy to say the least. I will share her response per her request. I have seen such good results on real hair and am wondering if anyone has had actual negative results on extensions.

Several others have had the same response from Iles. And posted them in the thread on this subject. Yes they had negative results which is why they reached out to Iles.

I’m so confused. 😕 some people have negative results with Iles, some people have gotten directly from Covet that Iles has too much protein on the extensions, and some people have great results with Iles. I am going to also email covet and mane about all this. I want to use what comes directly from Covet and Mane.

The funny thing is covet and mane doesn’t have a wet line so it’s not likely that they are bashing Iles to sell their own.

Yes they don’t have any products from what I know?! I don’t think they have any ulterior motives at all.

Exactly, so I don’t think it’s for them to make more sales. I do think that depending on where you live and the water you have and all the external elements can play into if a product works or not. I don’t think there is one product for everyone even with hair extensions. But I’m sure Iles is amazing for most and so is Davine and Kevin Murphy. If someone has a bad experience then they should try something else.

I was also JUST thinking about this! There are so many other factors especially water!! Different parts of the country, etc. those that live in humid or dry climates, etc. How often then wash their hair and use hot tools...all that takes into account. I do think it would still be nice if Covet had an official preferred list of products and possibly ones that don’t bode well etc.

Hi there! I use Iles in the salon and on my C&M extensions. It’s very compatible with extensions. You have to educate the clients on how to use it properly though. If they used too much it can cause a buildup on the hair which is easily fixable with a clarifying shampoo. Iles formula is super concentrated and needs to be diluted with a few drops of water and then emulsified into the hands before put on the hair. I had the pleasure of meeting Wendy in December when she came out to my salon for training. She is very passionate and has hand cultivated her brand over the last 43 years! She’s a celeb! Love her!

I’ve used Iles for 3 years on Extentions with zero issues if that helps.

What specific divines Products do you suggest for extensions? Which shampoo/conditioner/oil?
