Having problems with matching the color

I have this family member I am doing extensions on. I bought #6 color because it matched her roots but I put them on and her ends are way too light. What should I do? Have you lightened the extension before? She doesn’t want to color her hair.

The last one has Dubai on top and 6 on the bottom.

You never want to match the natural hair at the roots to use all over. You need to try to match the ends and mid if different tones because that’s where they meet and it’s your dead giveaway it’s extensions if they don’t match. If you match the ends and need darker at the root then just do a root on the wefts. Or custom color them to blend better. It’s a good idea to add a little of the root color into it also But if you match the root only especially if they have lighter ends you will never get a good blend. I have used 3-4 different colors sometimes to get a good blend. Sometimes that’s just what it takes 😉

Oh and also highlighting wefts can be very tricky. Make sure it’s washed a couple times first so you can break through the coating. And then watch it like a hawk if you decide to. Don’t use high volume or it will dry them out terribly. Also make sure they are saturated good to not get blotchy results. Honestly prob will have a better outcome if you order new hair.
