    Difficult client

My client got IBE. The back story is she had tape-ins at her part. Also, one side of her head was chopped. I explained to her that you’re not supposed to put tape-ins at the part anyways, and also I explained the IBE extensions she was excited. So we did them, she called the next week and the side of her head that was longer and not all chopped she said was too thick. So I razored it & too out some bulk. She called my boss today and said her extension is dangling by a tread. She needs someone to fix it ASAP. She was very dramatic & my boss said no one else can do it because they don’t know how. I called her and she said to me, that it’s not dangling by a thread it’s a few threads. She said she can tell when she pulls on it. She swears that she was taking care of them how I told her too. She told me that every morning it’s just hanging. I said only in the morning? She said yeah it doesn’t take long before it starts to dangle again. I asked her what she was doing when it was dangling she said nothing. So I told her I didn’t exactly understand what she meant that when she comes in I’ll look at it, we can talk about it more. Then she asked me if we could break it up and do different rows instead of one row so it’s not bulky. Anyways she, hung up on me. Then, instantly called back super nice and apologetic. She said that her hair isn’t as bad as she said and it’s not a rush. So going forward how do I approach this?

It wasn’t my client but my coworkers client that experienced a similar issue. Basically it just took a really long time for her to get used to having hand tied extensions no matter what. Placement, new tension, all the things clients can sometimes get confused about how they feel. The first time I had them it took me a full two weeks to get used to them and I am a hairstylist! I wouldn’t baby her so much that she takes advantage of you, I would have her just come in at two weeks after her appointment for a blowout and you can peek at the extensions to see how they are doing.
