What is everyone doing for clients that put deposits down for installs that are not going to be able to install right now? Are you refunding or just rescheduling? I’m going on maternity leave so I’m not sure what to do. The contract I have people sign says it’s non refundable but I’d feel like a terrible person given what’s going on.

I already purchased the hair, I thought about returning it though
I guess it depends on how much you took for your deposit… But I would say I would honor all deposits. It just keeps them still in the game and committed to getting extensions once this is all over. I figure if we refund everyone, they may just decide to hold on to their money and not rebook for that new hair.
Also I have been getting request to place deposits and I’m really clear that I don’t know when we will reopen and that although it is non refundable if for some reason they decide not to do the extensions once we reopen. They can apply it to another service or product. I would hold off on prepping hair for anyone until we are open. So that you can use it on someone else. And don’t stress if you have extra hair , it’s good to have hair inventory! You will use it! ❤️
I also agree w McKenzie that a refund gives them the out to decide not to do it at all. I know this is a crappy time but this is still our business. I have at least 4 installs that have already paid and I have the hair just waiting to reopen. They’re all being totally understanding and just waiting.
