    Complaining of hurting

So during this virus I haven’t been doing hair but only for my family. I recently did my mother’s move up and she’s complaining of the extensions hurting and causing a sore this time around 😩 I did put in 4 wefts instead of 3 could it be the reason why? It’s too heavy now. Going to remove them today and see. Anyone else ever get complaints ?

Hi Ann Marie! It could be the tension of the bead is too tight or the section is to wide. There is a recent post with the flexible tension placement and it’s a great visual. I hope this helps. Have a blessed day. 💗🙅‍♀️

Thank you. I am going to take them out and reinstall and see if that helps

I would check your tension and also drop a weft since that is something you can pinpoint as a change from your previous install.

Thank you Sheila for sharing this picture! It is such a great point of reference for anyone to see and understand flexible tension. Often times when there is pain it is generally due to the beads being a tad too close to the scalp.

I’m just curious if you did this move up at home. Sometimes doing it at home you don’t have your stylist chair and body position might be off. You could have over directed some stitches. Not sure but just a suggestion.

It was actually in a stylist chair 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think I had the beads too tight ?

Trust me when I say we all have probably gone through this. You’ll find your sweet spot and it will click.
