I have a client wanting to buy hair from me, I’ve been on maternity leave and she wants to buy the hair I purchased for her to take somewhere else. Has anyone done this, how do you handle charging for that? I charged her a deposit but was planning on using half hair I have stocked and hair I ordered.

Hi Ashley! It’s Sharione. If you did not buy that hair at cost, and you are not selling hair currently, I would not do it. I know that leaves you in a tough spot, but unless your are in the market of selling, your hair is precious cargo. I would just send her to a site that sells hair that is reputable. I just got certified with (IBE), so I am not sure if the public can purchase from their site... but I would hold onto my stock❤️

Is it just because she wants to have it done sooner then you're available? I would say no.. Deposits are always nonrefundable in my studio and I would consider this a refund of that deposit. However, if she's going to be a pain it might be worth considering. I would upcharge it a little more then usual to make up for the lost appointment and hair.. I charge $100 per weft for 18" so I would maybe give her 4 wefts for $500 and call it a day.
Yeah she wants it done earlier she put a $500 deposit down and asked if she can pay for the rest of the hair. I typically charge per weft for install so idk how to charge for that and my deposits are typically non refundable
