Ok 2 things: 1. Am I the only one that sometimes has a hard time stitching directly BEHIND the bead? Sometimes the thread will go to the right or left and not always directly behind. Is this ok if it’s just on a few beads? 2. Sometimes I have a hard time judging how much extension hair to use on a client. Like I don’t want them to be overwhelmed with hair but I also want to use enough hair to blend. Anyway... just curious if I’m the only one that struggles here.

I struggle too!!! With both of those things. The more I do it the more I am figuring it out. But I am right there with you
Good to know I’m not the only one! However I’ve been doing hand tieds for a year and a half and I feel like I still struggle with the amount of hair to use. I’ve switched around hair lines a few times so I feel like that confuses me too. I’m sticking to C&M now so that I can get used to it.
I do find if there is too much hair on the bead it makes the bead “slip” so the stitching doesn’t stay in the right places. Finding the “right” amount I think will take time and doing it more.
I will post a video with a little trick I have for the behind the bead stitch! If you miss the bead on your behind the bead stitch, it will have an effect on the grow out. It may not be as covered in that section when they come back. I would say the large majority of my clients have five wefts on their bottom row and four wefts on the top. If you do happen to put too much hair in, the worst thing that could happen is that at their next appointment you take a few wefts out and put them in a bag and they have new hair to refresh and extend the life of the extensions!
Is there a way to go back after you missed a bead to correct it?
I do the same thing ☺️👆🏼👆🏼
This is totally me too.. I figured I would get better as I go. This is the first time ill be using hand tied. Excited yet nervous.
Shanel you live the closest to me. If you ever want to get together and do some hair let me know
That would be awesome. I need all the practice and feedback I can get.
